PEOW 261 - Kayaking 1 SPRING TERM

Kayaking I is designed to introduce the beginner to the techniques of whitewater paddling. The emphasis is on introductory paddling skills, whitewater safety and hazard evaluation. Pool sessions provide opportunities to develop an eskimo roll, and the river experiences acquaint the paddler with the nuances of moving water.
