Leadership Certificate Requirements

The Leadership Training Program have been revised effective Spring Term 2009. Students who are just starting the Program will be expected to complete the courses specified in the new requirements.

Current Requirements - as of Spring 2009
Old Requirements - expired Spring 2009

Practicum Experiences in the Outdoor Pursuits Program

Outdoor Pursuits practicum experiences are designed to meet the needs of prospective leaders of outdoor pursuits activities. A practicum experience provides an opportunity for the development of a student's leadership skills through involvement in the planning, logistics and field activities of an Outdoor Pursuits Program course. Practicum assignments MUST be approved by the course instructor. For information on enrolling, and participating in an OPP practicum course, click on one of these links:

Not sure of which practicum to enroll for? Please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. All practicum experiences are one-credit transactions. If you are planning on helping in more than one course, you must enroll for the equivalent number of practicum experiences. Do not use a crn more than once!
2. If you are assisting with a course that does not include a transportation compontent utilizing state vans, enroll in a $20 practicum. Enroll in a $40 practicum experience if state vans are used to transport your group to and from the outing.

A list of crn's by term is available on a separate web page.
